The film marked the debut of Vivek Oberoi in Bollywood. The movie boasts of immaculate depiction of a don who aims at tightening the leash of the underworld and of a rising youngster in the same criminal world aspiring to make it big. The film is speculated to have been based on the D-Company split between Mumbai crime lords Dawood Ibrahim and Chotta Rajan. All in all it is a very good gangster flick.
