Top 10 Highest Earning Bollywood Movies Of 2016

2016 wasn't a good year for the Bollywood movies but still, some of the movies faired well. In 2016, we have seen that apart from Dangal and Sultan, the other films has hardly able to get the big chunk of money. There were various reasons for it, as some of the Hollywood movies and regional movies are giving tough competition to the Bollywood movies. Dangal (386 Crores) Aamir Khan starrer Dangal got released on December 23, 2016 and has broken several records at the Box-Office. It already becomes the highest grossing Bollywood movie after earning a whooping collection of 386 crores. 2. Sultan (300.45 Crores) Salman Khan starrer Sultan was released on the Eid, 2016. The film has crossed over 300 crores but couldn't able to touch the feat of his own film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, released in 2015. Click On NEXT Page 3. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (133.04 Crores) The film was heavily promoted and it was also a biopic. The only one who should be given the credit of the success is Sushant Singh Rajput. This was the third highest grosser of the year with the earnings of 133 crores. 4. Airlift (129.00 Crores) Airlift was the highest grosser film of Akshay Kumar in the year 2016. He has two other big hit on the calender year, apart from Airlift. It collected a sum of Rs. 129 crores. Click On NEXT Page 5. Rustom (127.42 Crores) Rustom was released along with Hrithik Roshan starrer film Mohenjodaro. No one has thought that the film will go such an extent and win the hearts of audience. But it did and has it raked up an earning of over 127 crores. 6. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (112.50 Crores) Just after a week's time of the release, demonetization has started in India. Housefull 3 (107.70 Crores) This is the third hit of Akshay Kumar in the year 2016. Though this film is a multi-starrer one, but we know that without Akshay Kumar, the movie wouldn't have been reached so far. It collected a sum of over 107 crores at the Box-Office. 8. Shivaay (100.35 Crores) Shivaay was heavily promoted both nationally and Internationally. It was Ajay Devgn's second directorial venture which has been applauded by fans across the world. It was one of his best performances till date and we have loved him in the violent zone of Shivaay. Fan (85.00 Crores) Even after the double doze of Shah Rukh Khan, this film failed miserably at the box-office. The film did good business in the first week but just managed to earn 85 crores in a life long run. 10. Baaghi (76.00 Crores) He is one of the youngest talent in the Bollywood. Tiger Shroff's Baaghi did good earning at the Box-Office with a collection of 76 crores. Overall, the year wasn't a good one for Bollywood movies as there were only 8 movies able to enter into the 100 crores club. We wish to see more films in 100 crores club in 2017!
