Sameera Reddy’s inspiring post partum depression post is sure to make new mommies confident of themselves

Every mother goes to a set of hormonal imbalances, weight gain, mood swings and much more at the time of giving birth. Very often women are body shamed because of the post partun weight that they gain. However, the worst criticised for this are the Bollywood celebrities who undergo tremendous pressure of being out of shape. Many actresses have called out the body shamers. A recent inspirational message came from the actress Sameera Reddy.

Sameera is a mother of two kids and has always openly spoken about her pregnancy weight gain and the huge amount of post partum depression that she had to deal with. However, the gorgeous mommy has always urged women to love their bodies and to not pay heed to body shamers. In a recent post, Sameera responded to a message received from a mother who felt ‘ugly’, ‘fat’& ‘not beautiful’ on account of her post baby fat.

Sameera said in her post that she should never compare herself with others. She infact flaunted her own flaws. Sameera also shared her personal experience saying, “I grew up always being compared to my stick-thin sisters and then I went into an industry where I was completely compared to everybody.

Sameera further explained how trying to change things in herself just to fit in to people’s expectations made her feel worst,

“I tried to lighten my skin. I wore colored lenses for that for the fair light-eyed look. I padded every part of my body. I did everything that made me feel crap about myself.”

Sameera also added that the struggle she had in fighting against any kind of shaming like body shaming, was huge. She said,

People will keep calling you too fat or too thin but you need to focus on your happiness. Other’s opinion of you doesn’t matter as long as you accept your body.
