As of now, it is almost certain that you have watched Avengers: Infinity War. The movie ended with Nick Fury and Mariah Hill vanishing in thin air. However, before vanishing into dust, director Fury activated a beacon bearing the logo of Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers. This means that Captain Marvel will have a major role to play in Avengers 4. Brie Larson is going to play Captain Marvel in MCU universe.
However, if we look at several set photos of Captain Marvel solo movie, we are pretty sure that younger version of Nick Fury without eye patches will appear in the Captain Marvel movie. It raises important questions like why Nick Fury never mentioned her name in any of the Avengers movies. After all, she is one of the most powerful MCU superheroes. However, one answer to it may be that Captain Marvel was nowhere near earth. The behind the scenes photos of Avengers 4 suggest that she returned to Earth during the events of Avengers 4.
Those set photos also suggest that there will be some time travelling stuff in next Avengers film. Let’s assume that they can’t go back in time because Doctor Strange gave the time stone to Thanos. Therefore, Avengers could use some other device to go back in time, we have seen some sort of device attached to every Avengers including Iron Man, Ant-man and Captain America in the set photos.
Coming back to Captain Marvel, it would be a safe bet to assume that she is with Kree. She can be somewhere deep in space. One should also note that she has been gone since the 90s because the device used by Nick Fury looks very old.
After seeing all these stuff, it is a safe bet to assume that Carol Danvers is somewhere in space with the Kree. It looks like Captain Marvel is on her own adventure exploring the deep space. It is good to know the location of Captain Marvel, as fans have been wondering why she didn’t take part in any of the big events like the Chitauri Invasion or the Sokovia events to name a few.
While talking about the decision to introduce Captain Marvel in MCU so late, the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige said,
“With Captain Marvel, she is as powerful a character as we’ve ever put in a movie. Her powers are off the charts, and when she’s introduced, she will be by far the strongest character we’ve ever had. It’s important, then, to counterbalance that with someone who feels real.”
