Actor Purab Kohli and his longtime British girlfriend Lucy Payton welcomed their baby girl Inaya when the couple was unmarried. After the birth of their baby, they were pressurized by their families to get married but they refused to do so as they didn’t want to get married only because of their child.
But the couple is married now. On 16th February the couple secretly got married in Goa. This news is shared by Purab’s friend Amrita Puri on her social media handle.
Purab met Lucy in 2012 through a common friend and then they eventually fell in love. Professionally Lucy is yoga and meditation teacher. On their ceremony, only family and some close friends were seen.
On the marriage, Purab said, “We always wanted to get married, but didn’t want to rush into it. When Inaya was going to come into this world, it was a glorious moment by itself, and we didn’t want to dilute that by suddenly rushing into marriage. We had always planned that we will wait for the right time and the frame of mind, to get settled. But this isn’t sudden, as we decided on this date, a year back.”
This is Purab’s second marriage with Lucy. In 2007 he married Yamini Namjoshi but after three years they got separated because of the growing differences between them.
Earlier talking about the fatherhood Purab said, “Fatherhood changes everything. Fatherhood is a gift I wish upon everybody, especially of a baby girl. When you have a child, you stop living for yourself”.
