BCCI Selection Committee Chief Caught Offering Pitch Puja For Winning The Game, Got Brutally Trolled

India is one of the largest countries in the world. Most of the people in the country are pretty superstitious, who like to offer prayers to Gods whenever a new venture kicks off. However, you may have never heard of “Pitch Puja”.

As you know that India is currently playing 5-ODI series against West Indies, which is currently leveled with 1-1. India was able to completely thrashed West Indies in Test Series, they are giving tough competition in ODI series. India won the first one, followed by a tie in second ODI, whereas WI won the third one.

However, there is something that has kept fans buzzing. The chairman of BCCI Selection Committee MSK Prasad and the picture curator along with some other officials performed “Pitch Puja” before the start of the Second ODI that took place on Wednesday. They offered prayers so that India would win the match. However, it has irked Indian Cricket Team fans and other officials.

A BCCI match referee has said that prayers are offered by some curators before the start of a new season, but it never happens during the match day. He further added that it is not a correct approach and should have never happened as it concerns an international match. A former Andhra Pradesh player and ACA/ VDCA official G. J. J. Raju also slammed MSK Prasad for bringing religion into an international game. He even called Prasad a “Cricket illiterate”.

People on social media also slammed MSK Prasad and co for offering Puja before the start of the game. They trolled them like never before. Check out some of the reactions down below.
