Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen, who made a comeback in the industry and debuted into the digital space through the brand new web series ‘Aarya’, says that doing the show redefined the concept of motherhood for her. She now believes it’s all about being your family’s warrior and protecting your near ones at all cost.
Sushmita revealed, “’Aarya’ has reaffirmed my belief that being a mother is all about being a warrior and protecting your family by all means.”
While talking about the character she portrayed in the series, Sen said, “Aarya carries so much pain, but she internalises it all to fight and save her children against all odds. This reimagined animated video truly brings out the best of ‘Aarya’ and highlights her journey from being a mother to a warrior.”
The series revolves around a woman who is exposed to the betrayal and organised crime that runs in a family. She is pulled into an illegal business as her family gets threatened and blackmailed for it. The show features actors like Sikandar Kher, Pratyaksh Panwar, Namit Das, VirenVazirani, Maya Sarao, VirtiVaghani, and so on in other major roles.
All the episodes of the web series ‘Aarya’ are now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
