Actor Sunny Deol Joins BJP, Says Only Modi Can Take The Country Forward
Actor Sunny Deol, known as director and producer in Hindi cinema. His Bollywood career spans over three decades with the actor giving Indian cinema goers many memorable films such as Betaab, Border, Damini, Gadar and Ghayal among many others.
The actor joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday in Delhi. He is the BJP candidate from Gurdaspur in Punjab.
The BJP will reportedly give a ticket to Sunny Deol to contest the Lok Sabha election 2019. There have been reports that the actor will be fielded from Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency in Punjab.
After joining the BJP, Sunny Deol said, “PM Modi has done a lot for the country and I wish that he remains the prime minister for another five years. Our youth needs people like Modiji.”
“Like my father joined Atal Bihari Vajpayee, I have decided to go with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I want PM Modi for the next five years,” said Sunny Deol in his short speech.

Sunny Deol becomes the third member from the deol clan to join the politics after his father Dharmendra and step-mother Hema Malini.
Sunny is awaiting the release of his film, Blank, in which he plays the chief of anti-terrorism squad (ATS) chief.
