SRK Starrer Baadshah Completes 17 Years: Here Are The Interesting Facts About The Film

Shah Rukh Khan is now known as the Baadshah of Bollywood and that name has been tagged with him since his famous comedy flick 'Baadshah'. In the movie, SRK played a detective role, who took off the daring mission to save the life of 'Raakhee Gulzar' who essayed the role of a minister Gaytri Bachchan. Today, the film has completed 17 years which was released on August 27, 1999. Though the film didn't work wonders at the Box-Office but it is certainly a special film for every SRK fans. This movie starred Johnny Depp, Christopher Walken, Charles S. Dutton, and Courtney Chase. 2. 'Baadshah' movies has also known for its good melodious songs featuring SRK and Twinkle Khanna. According to IMDB, Twinkle was fell down in the mud while filming the song 'Hum to Deewane Huye'. As she was wearing a sari and dancing in a rain, soon she tripped in it and lost her balance. 3. Even the negative characters in this film look so funny that we couldn't stop laughing whether it's Amrish Puri or Deepshika. Deepshikha wasn't the first choice for the makers as they were trying to rope in Sushmita Sen for the same role. Though that couldn't happen for some reasons and so Deepshika got this role. 4. The Climax of the movie 'Baadshah' was also taken from the Johnny Depp starer 'Nick of Time'. This Hollywood film Climax was so interesting that even it was framed in the same way in 'Baadshah' movie climax. 5. At first, the makers wanted to cast Karishma Kapoor for the lead role as she had a good chemistry with SRK in 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai'.
