Sridevi’s co-star from English Vinglish, Sujata Kumar breathed her last on Saturday after battling cancer. Sujata Kumar’s sister and actor Suchitra Krishnamoorthi shared this heart breaking news with world on her Twitter handle. She wrote, “Our beloved Sujata Kumar has passed away and moved on to a better place leaving us with an umimaginable void. She left us an hour ago at 11.26 pm on the 19th of august 2018..Life can never be the same again …”

Back then Sujata was called a cancer survivor. With 2012 film English Vinglish she started a fresh chapter of her life. In English Vinglish she essayed the role of Sridevi’s sister which was noticed by the audiences.
During the promotion of the film, Sujata had said, “Sridevi is a great human being. She is a sweetheart. I am so proud that I played her elder sister. We are not blood sisters but there was a great rapport between us. I found her very down to earth and we bonded well.”
After sad demise of Sujata, Boney Kapoor talked to the leading daily and said that he met Sujata once. He also revealed what his late wife Sridevi told him once about Sujata. He was quoted saying- “I had met Sujata once or twice. Well, Sri always told me that Sujata was a very dignified lady, full of warmth”.
