Monday morning playback singer Sonu Nigam, started raising questions through his tweets, that were merely insensitive. It also hurt many religious sentiments. The questions were raised on use of loudspeakers during ‘Azaan’.
His tweet says, “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India.” He gave it a name of ‘forced religiousness’ because he is forced to wake up early in the morning only because of the loudspeakers that play Azaan. He has to listen to it even though he is not a Muslim.
Many people slammed him for his Anti-Azaan Rant. The first call of Azaan is given early in the morning, and this happens five times a day. It is an Islamic call to worship and is given by the muezzin of a mosque. Another tweet says, “I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity to wake up people who don’t follow the religion”.
He further went on tweeting, “And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?” He didn’t stop here, further adding he said, “I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don’t follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True? Gundagardi hai bus (This is only hooliganism).”
The singer faced mere criticisms on his comments against the Muslim community. His bold tweets made several fans really angry and disappointed.
Meanwhile, people didn’t lose this chance of trolling Sonu Sood. Just like Snapchat and Snapdeal humour, people started making fun of Actor Sonu Sood on twitter.
Looks like Sonu is about to lose followers now. He has become an innocent victim to a situation he doesn’ t even belong to.
