Last year we saw Shahid Kapoor celebrate his 36 birthday in advance planned by his lovely wife Mira Rajput, which included his friends and colleagues from the film industry. The who’s who of Bollywood including Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar, and Sonakshi Sinha attended Shahid’s pre-birthday bash. However, this year Shahid is expected to have a quiet birthday with family in Delhi.
Well, Filmymantra has learned of Shahid’s plan around his birthday. Apparently, Shahid who turns 37 on 25 February, will be busy shooting for Shree Narayan’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu in Uttrakhand with Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam, however, he plans to take a break from the shoot to visit the Radha Soami Satsang Beas, in Delhi of which he and Mira are ardent followers. They will be taking their little one, Misha Kapoor, on this very special trip. He will be joined by his parents Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azim. As per sources, Shahid who is known to take long trips after visiting his guru will, however, have to cut the trip short as he has to be back, to complete the shoot of Batti Gul. The actor has been busy with back to back shoot since last year and this break will be a breather for Shahid.
On the work front, Shahid is excited about his big release Padmaavat that hits the screens this weekend. He will be seen as Maharana Rawal Ratan Singh, Padmavati’s husband. The movie also features Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone and has been directed by the talented Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He is also likely to collaborate with his Jab We Met director Imtiaz Ali for another rom-com. If sources are to be believed the film will go on floors by the end of this year.
