Shah Rukh Khan co produces remake of Rajesh Khanna’s Ittefaq
While there has been criticism over remakes of classic films, it seems like the trend is not going to end any time soon. The latest is the remake of the Rajesh Khanna starrer Ittefaq which was a murder mystery and was one of the stepping stones in the career of Rajesh Khanna. It is being produced by none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
While speaking about the film Shah Rukh Khan said that he was always fascinated by the film and Rajesh Khanna’s work in it. He wished to play the role too in his struggling days. Shah Rukh is a co producer of the film. He will not be acting in the film. The stars of the Ittefaq are Sonakshi Sinha and Siddharth Malhotra. SRK could not praise the team enough as they are working very hard over the pre production domains of the film. SRK recently received the 4th Yash Chopra Award.
It will be the first time that actors Sonakshi Sinha and Siddharth Malhotra will be playing a couple. The Jodie of the two actors is quite an interesting one. Sonakshi and Siddharth also posed for a pic together.
SRK, Karan Johar and BR Films are co producing this film that is already attracting news. The original murder mystery film had Rajesh Khanna and Nanda in the lead roles. SRK said that he was initially very keen to do the film after he heard the script. But it was issues with the date that he had to opt out of it.
