Shabana Azmi Says “Sartaaj Is Fit For This Role” And She Is Extremely Happy To Act As Maharani Jindan

‘The Black Prince’ is an upcoming biopic of Maharaja Duleep Singh, the son of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Maharani Jindan Kaur.  Punjabi Sufi singer Satinder Sartaaj will be seen essaying the role of Duleep Singh and veteran actress Shabana Azmi will play the role of Maharani Jind Kaur, mother of Maharaja Duleep Singh. In a recent interview with BBC World, the actress has spoken about her role and she feels extremely happy to play the role of Maharani Jindan. Talking about Sartaaj, she says, ”Sartaaj Is Fit For This Role.” Shabana also added, ”I really think it’s an important film because it’s a story lost in history and I think we need to give its due place.”
