Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 to get a huge budget of Rs. 300 crore?
Salman Khan is one of the very few Bollywood actors whose movies hit the multi crores club. With blockbuster hits like ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘Sultan’, and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, Salman Khan rules the 300 crore club of Bollywood movies. Where his one hit alone can get makers multi crores, the budget of his movies is bound to be humongous.
As the actor is all set to rock the screens with his much anticipated projects like ‘Radhe’, ‘Guns of North’ and ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’, the most awaited film for Salman’s fans and business alike is the third installment of his blockbuster Tiger Franchise.
As we all know that YRF is likely to announce a series of projects as a part of their 50th anniversary and this YRF Project 50 will include some big-budget movies with top stars. It seems like Yash Raj Films is all set to sign up the ‘Dabangg’ star under their Project 50 on Tiger 3.
As per recent buzz in Bollywood corridors, producer Aditya Chopra and Salman Khan are planning to take the budget of the last film of Tiger franchise up with whooping 300 crore.
According to an industry insider, “The cost of production of Tiger 3 is going to be in the range of Rs. 200 to 225 crores, which is the biggest for a Hindi film till date. There will also be the usual additional burden of print and publicity of approximately Rs. 20 to 25 crores. In all his association with YRF, Salman has taken away around Rs. 100 crores as acting fees, depending on the magnitude of profits and Tiger 3 will be no different.”
Adding further the source revealed that with other expenses at hand, the cost of Tiger 3 is anticipated to reach as high as Rs. 350 crores, which make this budget the highest for any Bollywood film till date.
The insider went on to talk about this ambitious project saying, “But they are not worried about the returns. The idea is to breach the Rs. 400 crore club this time around, as the Tiger Zinda Hai created havoc by earning Rs. 339.16 crores in India.”
The official announcement for the upcoming mega budget movie is expected to happen anytime between August 10 and September 27. As per reports, the movie will be directed by Maneesh Sharma, who earlier has helmed films like Ranveer Singh’s ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Fan’ and Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’.
