Salman Khan Presses On with Sikandar Shoot Under Tight Security Despite Death Threats: Report
Trigger Warning: This article contains mentions of death and threats, which may be distressing to some readers.
Salman Khan has been hard at work filming his upcoming action-thriller, *Sikandar*, for the past few months. Despite the recent unsettling atmosphere following the death of politician Baba Siddique and death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, Salman has stayed committed to his schedule. Instead of postponing any filming, the actor has ramped up security and continues working as planned.
According to a report by *India Today*, Salman is not only shooting for his reality show *Bigg Boss 18* under heightened security but has also resumed his *Sikandar* schedule. A source quoted in the report shared, “The entire team is being very cautious with security arrangements, and Salman is making sure that no one faces any delays because of him.” The report further suggested that Salman plans to continue shooting without interruptions, likely until Diwali 2024.
The source also noted that Salman is determined to follow the original production timeline, ensuring that none of his professional commitments are affected. He is focused on delivering a high-quality film for his fans, who are eagerly anticipating the release.
*Sikandar*, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss, is slated for release on Eid 2025. The movie marks Salman’s first collaboration with actress Rashmika Mandanna, while Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Kajal Aggarwal play key roles. *Pinkvilla* had previously reported in September about Sharman Joshi’s role in the film.
A source close to the project revealed, “Salman and Sharman share a unique dynamic in *Sikandar*. Sharman has been actively shooting, and his character plays a pivotal role in Sikandar’s journey. Fans will enjoy seeing this new on-screen partnership.”
The filmmakers aim to wrap production by December 2024, with excitement building for its release.
