Kharji is a Bengali film made by Mrinal Sen in 1982 Won the Jury prize at the 1983 Cannes Film Festival. It tells the story of a middle-class family whose child servant is found dead, and their efforts to pacify his grieving father.The idea of the movie is taken from the novel by Ramapada Chowdhury.
