Bollywood chirpy girl Alia Bhatt always stay focus on her work and that’s why she has emerged as one of the best actresses in the recent past. She did so many different roles in mere 4 years and coincidently all turned blockbuster hits. But one thing was common in all is her hard work which really worked wonders. At latest, she reveals about her personal life and why she don’t want to talk about link-ups?
As we all know, she was mostly linked up with Sidharth Malhotra in the recent past but none of two have confirmed about it. In the latest interview with Huffington Post, she did reveal about her link up rumours. She said, “In India, you are a part of a society that’s very judgmental. Here, girls who have multiple boyfriends is still a huge deal and something that is frowned upon. I mean, look at Taylor Swift. She’s dated, like, everybody. But if she was here, she’d be totally shamed for making those choices. Her image and appeal would be very different. The reason actresses don’t talk about their private lives is because in our society there is a lot of slut-shaming. Eventually, I have a responsibility and I have to protect myself. It’s important that I am seen in a certain way, it’s just the way it is. Speculations about celebrities are commonplace but as long as it’s not coming from the horse’s mouth, you’re quite safe, so to speak.”
Even, at the start of this year, Alia Bhatt has said something related to this, “Tomorrow if there are reports of my affairs or breakups – true or not- will hurt me emotionally. Not putting any words in the public domain saves me from any further damage. It’s a way of being cautious. You become what is your personal life and I don’t want my personal life to be in the limelight though it sometimes does happen by default. I am here to work and be known as an actor and not a star who is known for her happening personal life.”
