During a concert in Germany, Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh took a heartfelt moment to honor the late Ratan Tata, who passed away on October 9, 2024. The news of Tata’s passing reached Diljit during his performance, prompting him to pause the show and pay tribute to the iconic Indian industrialist. A video of the emotional tribute has surfaced online, showing Diljit speaking about the profound lessons he learned from Tata, despite never having met him in person.

In the video, Diljit, visibly moved, addresses the audience in Punjabi, saying, “You all know about Ratan Tata. He has passed away. This is my small tribute to him. Today, I feel it is important to take his name because his life—he has always worked hard. Whatever I have heard and read of him, I have never seen him speak anything wrong about anyone.”

Diljit went on to praise Tata’s work ethic and his kindness, highlighting how Tata always did good work and helped others. “This is life; this is how one should be. If there is one thing we can learn from his life, it is that we should work hard, think positively, be helpful, and live life to the fullest,” the singer added.

Ratan Tata, a titan of Indian industry, passed away after being admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. Despite being in critical condition, Tata fought until his passing late on Wednesday night.

Renowned for his visionary leadership of the Tata Group and his immense philanthropic contributions, Ratan Tata was a beloved figure in India. His death sparked an outpouring of grief from fans and public figures alike. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a heartfelt tribute, along with Bollywood stars such as Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Anushka Sharma, all expressing their sorrow and respect for Tata’s legacy.
