Rangoon 1st Weekend Box Office Collection
Rangoon First Weekend Box Office Collection
Shahid Kapoor , Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut starrer 1940s drama Rangoon was expected to do great business at the cinemas but the statistics say the opposite. The remake of this Hollywood classic isn’t getting a great response from the audience despite of the big names attached to it. The movie is into it’s second day today and the collection figure looks disappointing.
The first day box office report shows that Rangoon did not attract the audience too much although it was a Shivratri festival holiday. The first day collection figure was below average coming up to 6.56 crore. The film was best promoted with the star actors appearing on many reality shows and talk shows. Also, the film is the highest budget film by Vishal Bharadwaj and has some cool technical aspects.
The second day box office collection of Rangoon reached ended with a total of 12.23 on Saturday. Followed by this, the Sunday was also a moderate collection day for Rangoon as it ended with a total figure of 18.45 crore. Considering it was the sole major release of the week, the expectations of trade analysts were not met by the film. Kangana Ranaut spoke about the low box office performance of the film that every film should not be judged by the yardstick of 100 crore club.
Rangoon finished with a total figure of 20.34 crore at the box office on it’s first weekend. Since the word of mouth is over all positive about the film, it is expected to push the collection figures little further. But surely it will not survive the week.
