Shaan Sang Bengali Song At Assam Concert, Crowd Threw Stones And Paper Balls, This Is How Her Responded

Art doesn’t have any boundaries, especially music which supposed to mend the fences and bring peace among communities. However, it is just a saying, it is up to people to implement it. If we go by the actions of people at a recent concert of popular Bollywood singer Shaan, it doesn’t look good.

On October 29, Shaan was performing at a private concert at Sarusajai stadium, Guwahati, Assam. According to the reports floating around on social media and internet, Shaan was physically assaulted by the crowd present at his concert, as they threw stones and paper balls at the singer when he sang a Bengali song.

A video from the concert went viral on social media and the internet. In the video, one can hear people shouting “This is Assam, not Bengal” and throwing stones at the popular Bollywood singer. The singer responded to the crowd asking them to not make it political and don’t treat an artist in such a manner.

Shaan further requested his crowd to respect the artist. He then stopped the performance and went backstage. In the meanwhile, he told the crowd that he was performing despite having a fever. Nonetheless, he came to stage to perform after the organizers requested him to do so.

Twitter is mighty angry with the people, as they slammed the crowd for their poor behavior with a performer. Check out some of the reactions down below.

However, Shaan took to Twitter to clarify the matter. Slamming the media for spreading complete lies, the singer told that only one person pelted paper ball. He asked everyone to stop spreading lies and speculations. Shaan tweeted,

“Complete lies!!! One Paper ticket folded up was thrown on stage by One Person after vigorously gestering and shouting to stop singing.. That’s all… please stop these wild speculations and lies 🙏”

He further added he loved Assam Tour and tarnishing the image of a state based on one incident is wrong. He tweeted,

“Just for the records … loved my Assam Tour!! Saw the most fascinating sights… made new friends.. had huge turnouts at every concert.. Over one unfortunate incident it would be Very Wrong to Tarnish this Beautiful State!!! Whatever happened was in the heat of the moment 🙏”
