Rajinikanth hospitalized in chennai for elective procedure ,condition remains stable
According to PTI sources, veteran actor Rajinikanth’s condition is stable following his admission to a private hospital in Chennai late Monday. The 73-year-old superstar is expected to undergo an elective medical procedure on Tuesday, though no official statement has been made by his family or the hospital. Sources report that the procedure may be related to a heart condition, but further details have not yet been confirmed.
Previous Health Issues
This is not the first time Rajinikanth has faced health issues in recent years. In 2020, he was hospitalized in Hyderabad due to severe hypertension and exhaustion. He was discharged after a few days once his blood pressure stabilized, and doctors advised him to take a week of complete rest. At the time, Apollo Hospitals had issued a statement highlighting his post-kidney transplant condition, labile hypertension, and age as reasons for the extended recovery period. He was also advised to avoid any activity that could increase his risk of contracting Covid-19, given the ongoing pandemic at the time.
Rajinikanth underwent a kidney transplant in 2016, a significant factor in his medical history. Despite a Covid-19 scare in December 2020, where he tested negative, he took precautions by self-isolating to ensure his health remained stable.
Upcoming Films
On the work front, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film *Vettaiyan*, directed by TJ Gnanavel, which is set to hit theaters on October 10. The film marks a milestone in Rajinikanth’s illustrious career as it is his 170th film. The production company recently released a teaser of the film in celebration of the actor’s 73rd birthday, adding to the excitement surrounding its release.
We wish Rajinikanth a speedy recovery and look forward to his upcoming projects.
