Not very long ago, there were speculations over a riff between Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra due to the sudden exit of Priyanka Chopra from the movie Bharat on account of her engagement with beau Nick Jonas! There were statements made and assumptions drawn that Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra will never e getting back to talking terms due to this unprofessional behaviour of PC! However, now that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are married and that they hosted a wedding reception for the Bollywood Fraternity, Salman Khan attended the wedding reception and shut all the rumours of a rift between them! In return, Priyanka Chopra walked an extra mile to thank Salman Khan for attending her wedding reception!

Bharat was supposed to be Priyanka Chopra’s comeback to Bollywood after 3 years after her last film JalJai Gangaajal which did not fare well at the box office. In a statement released earlier, Salman Khan said how Priyanka Chopra had called his sister Arpita Khan a 1000 times to bag the role in Bharat and much time and energy spent. However, in an official Twitter status, Ali Abbas Zafar shared that due to ‘Nick of time’ things changed and Priyanka had to make her exit from the film.

According to the reports, soon after their wedding reception got over, newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas directly visited Galaxy Apartments, (where the actor along with his family resides) to meet Salman and his family as the entire Khan-daan was not able to be the part of Priyanka’s big day.

Katrina Kaif had come to Bharat’s rescue and became leading lady for Bharat. While promoting his production film LoveYatri, during a press conference, Salman Khan had said, “I’m really happy for her. If we knew it before that she has been signed for a very big film there, we would never have stopped her. Just that we got to know about it in the very end, just 10 days before her schedule was to begin. She came home. I said ‘no problem, if you don’t want to do it, then don’t do it’.”
