Arjun N Kapoor and Prerna Arora’s production house is collaborating with Zaigham Imam for his next venture – Nakalchi. The producer duo has worked on films like Rustom, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Pari and Padman.
Nakalchi will be an inspiring social drama that revolves around an old man who wants to pass the high school exam. Zaigham’s debut film Dozakh was praised by Amitabh Bachchan and his second film Alif was narrated by Jaya Bachchan. Alif won Best Screenplay Award in Bioscope Global film festival. Quite fittingly, he has approached Amitabh Bachchan for the lead role in Nakalchi.
Zaigham’s soon to be released film Nakkash has been appreciated in various Film Festivals. He even won the title of ‘Emerging Filmmaker of the Year’ in ‘Singapore South Asian International Film Festival 2018’. It is clear that with a talented director like him and an interesting and distinct premise Nakalchi is quite promising.
Zaigham Imam was looking for strong producers and finally joined hands with Arjun N Kapoor and Prerna Arora’s production house in June this year. Arjun had said yes immediately because he liked the script and according to him the film is has a unique story that the audience will surely enjoy
