We all heard quite a few days ago that actress Chitrangada Singh has walked out of the film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz leaving its shooting in the middle of a sequence. She allegedly claimed that director of the film Kushan Nandy used crass language in amidst of the shoot and persuade her to do the unnecessary intimate scenes that didn’t go with her character in the movie.
The actress was said to do a class love-making scene with his co-actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which became intolerant for Chitrangada due to the language used with her being foul and unsuitable.
Now co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui has finally broken his silence and defended his director against the allegations made by Chitrangada. He said “We did a normal scene. There was nothing unacceptable about what we shot. The incident being described did not happen”. In his words, Kushal is a decent soft-spoken person. He’s a gentleman, incapable of class behavior.
The director of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Kushan Nandy said on the matter and defended himself against the allegations; he stated that those who know me will know I never use filthy words like she has accused me of using. I don’t know people who use language like that. This is character assassination. He intends to sue Chitrangada Singh for defamation.
After the walk-out of Chitrangada Singh from the film, it is said that the makers have found the replacement of the actress. They have zeroed the talented actress Richa Chadha as the leading lady of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s starter film.
The makers are waiting for the controversy between the director and actress to blow out in order to make any official announcement of the decision. Kushal Nandy adds that the shooting has not stopped after the not so good exit of Chitrangada Singh from the film and is currently in process in Lucknow.
