3. On Her Marriage Being Claimed As A Publicity Gimmick
Reports were doing rounds that Monalisa and Vikrant were paid a huge amount to get married on the show. Earlier, on Bigg Boss itself, Sara Khan and Ali Merchant were paid Rs 50 lakh rupees to pray Nikah inside the show. Hence, Mona-Vikrant’s marriage started being termed as fake. But Monalisa broke her silence on the marriage:
We have been together with each other for last few years and we were anyways going to get married. It had been on our mind since a long time now. I am hurt that people are speculating other motives behind this marriage. It feels bad that people are calling my marriage a gimmick. We haven’t taken any money to get married. Getting married on Bigg Boss is the biggest thing in life. I am so happy I can’t express it in words. I don’t think people get this kind of opportunity in normal life,” said Mona.
