Mohammed Shami Donates A Whopping Amount To The Wives Of Martyred Jawans In Pulwama Attack
On 14 February 2019, at least 40 CRPF jawans were killed and dozens injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Awantipora, Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the worst attack on India’s armed forces since the Uri airbase attack in 2016.
Entire Nation stands in solidarity with families of martyrs CRPF personnel in the Pulwama attack. After Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammed Shami who is an Indian international cricketer, has also joined the list to help the wives of the jawans.
He donated a whopping amount of Rs 5 lakhs as a help to the wives of the martyred soldiers and also expressed his grief over their deaths. He also assured their families of feeling secured and will always be there to help them.
Mohammed Shami has followed Shikhar Dhawan’s footsteps. Shikhar Dhawan had also released a video where he urged the nation to extend their helping hand to the families of the martyred soldiers who protect the country on the border.
“When we play for our country they stand at the borders protecting it. We stand with the families of our jawans, we will always be there for them,” he said.
