Many Bollywood celebrities have broken the stereotypes by opting for surrogacy. Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao were the first couple in the Bollywood industry who got their child Azad through surrogacy in December 2011. Then later on Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son AbRam came to their world through a surrogate. Following the footsteps of these couples, actor Tusshar Kapoor also opted for this procedure. Though a ban is implemented on it, Tusshar is quite lucky as he went through the procedure before the ban.

Laksshya came to Tusshar’s life through surrogacy last year and he was elated on the birth of his child. He also announced the news on social media last year saying, “I proudly announce the arrival of my son, a baby boy, born last week through IVF and surrogacy. The baby, Laksshya, is in excellent health. I am thrilled to be a father! The paternal instincts in me have been overpowering my heart and mind for some time now. Therefore, I am thrilled beyond words to have Laksshya, now the greatest source of joy in my life. By the greatness of God and the excellent medical team at Jaslok, parenthood is an option for many, who choose to be single parents. Thanks to you all for your blessings & good wishes.”
