Sonu has recently helped 177 women stranded in Kerala who want to reach their hometown in Odisha. The Dabangg actor arranged an Air Asia flight for them and took special permission from the government to have Kochi and Bhubaneswar airports opened.
Talking to a leading news agency recently, Sonu explained the reason what dragged him towards this noble cause. He said, “I was deeply saddened to see them walking with their little children on foot. These are the people who built our houses, our offices, they have laid the roads and I feel that we should not leave them in such distress.”
Sonu has been receiving hundreds of messages on daily basis from the stranded workers who want his help in reaching their homes.
