‘Beyhadh’ starring Kushal Tandon and Jennifer Winget is currently one of the most popular shows on Sony Entertainment Television. The team of show ‘Beyhadh’ was left shocked when a surprise fire broke out on the sets. While Maya (Jennifer Winget) and Arjun’s (Kushal Tandon) much-awaited wedding sequence was being shot, the fire broke on the set. As per the script, ‘Mandap’ was to catch fire but things went out of hand when the fire started spreading quickly. Lead actors Kushal Tandon, Jennifer Winget and Aneri Vajani aka Saanjh also got injured.

Kushal hurt his neck while trying to save Jennifer.
They were sitting in a mandap, which was set on fire for a scene. Suddenly the flames started to rise and Kushal, who was quick in response, removed Jennifer from the harm’s way. As part of the lead couple’s elaborate wedding on the show, a mandap was set on fire. Everyone stayed calm and did their part for the sequence at the beginning: The actor who played the priest left the mandap first (as per scene) but Jennifer sat inside the flaming set.
Kushal came to her, performed his part but then realised that things were not right when a few ambers dropped on him. He quickly ran off the stage, dragging Jennifer’s drape with him. The overwhelmed Jennifer could not figure out how to get out and that’s when Kushal came back, picked her up and took her off the mandap.

According to sources present on the sets, “Kushal Tandon hurt his neck while Jennifer Winget and Aneri Vajani got their back and hand burnt. But luckily there we no causalities.” According to another source, “We were filming a marriage sequence with both Kushal and Jennifer. The set was supposed to catch fire, even during the shoot. But there was a little mishap and the fire caught on too easily and too fast.” He further added, “Thankfully there were no casualties. Kushal who had an act during the scene immediately jumped out and even pulled out Jennifer when he witnessed the mandap catching more fire than what was planned.”
