One might find the outspoken actress and social worker Kunickaa Sadanand Lall, a perfect fit for a reality show like Bigg Boss. But as we found out this week, she finds it “crap”.
Her comment is all the more surprising, as Kunickaa has acted in some of Bigg Boss host Salman Khan’s past movies Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Baaghi, Kurbaan, Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar and Hum Saath-Saath Hain.
In response to a tweet by Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar on Bigg Boss, Kunickaa asked, “@DaleBhagwagar you actually have the time energy n inclination to watch that cr…p” (sic)
Now, Dale is known for his tongue-in-cheek anecdotes and smirky responses on Twitter. But this time, the publicist replied with seriousness and utmost respect, simply stating some facts.
“Since ages, voyeurism is an intricate part of human nature. And no television show exploits it better than Bigg Boss. Megastar Salman Khan, along with around 18 housemates, are part of it every year, as it spells business for them; as well as for the hundreds of people working for its producers and the channel,” replied the PR specialist.
He further pointed out that “Sponsors and advertisers launch and relaunch huge brands with it, which is wise business for them. The best of filmmakers bring their stars and movies for promotions on the show, as India watches it with abated breath, day after day.”
“As for me, I have PR clients on Bigg Boss who pay me good monies to promote and protect their images. That makes it my job to watch it. And Kunickaa, you well know, how much I love my job,” Dale remarked.
