Kunal Pandit the extremely talented singer, who has sung super hit songs from the movie Padmaavat ”Ek Dil Ek Jaan” and Bajirao Mastani ”Albela Sajan” releases his first single titled ‘Hona Hi Na Tha’. The super talented and gifted musician and singer has written, composed and beautifully amalgamated his voice with the mix of peppy and groovy beats.
Talking about the song, Kunal says, “Music only comes out from a broken heart.'”
He is a well trained classical singer. Talking about his background, he says, ”I have always been into music since childhood. I have learnt all nuances about singing and music from my dad Pradeep Pandit and my uncles. I feel very privileged and lucky to be born in such a family with a long going royal music heritage. I got a kickstart in my musical career through Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. It was a great push and a strong base which had set the musical foundations in my life. I also really had interest in music production, so I started producing my own music. I also just did a couple of albums. I also sang for some well known composers in Bollywood”.
The music video ‘Hona Hi Na Tha’, which is being presented by Times Music, has been directed by Shreyash Shinde. Although he belongs to a family of Sufi background, he has a pop-jazz western influence.
Kunal has always been inspired by many artists nationally and internationally. ”I’ve a classical background so I’ve grown up listening to musicians like Ghulam Ali, Hariharan, A.R Rehman and Mehndi Haasan. Internationally pop music wise to be frank, I feel very much motivated and inspired by singers like Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson,” he concludes.
