K’taka court orders FIR against Kangana Ranaut over her controversial Farm bill tweet
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is well known for her controversial statements, which more often land her in controversies. But this time what has landed her into troubled isn’t her outrageous accusations against Bollywood filmmakers and actors over nepotism and bullying, or her legal battle with Maharashtra a government which led to the demolition of her office/bungalow last month, however, her unfiltered tweets on Karnataka farmers opposing farmers’ bill.
As per the reports, the Tumkur police station in Karnataka has filed a complaint against Kangana based on advocate Ramesh Naik L’s complaint under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The complaint was lodged against her September 21 tweet, where the actress had written “People who spread misinformation and rumours about CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) that caused riots are the same people who are now spreading misinformation about Farmer’s bill and causing terror in the nation, they are terrorists.”
According to a report in media, the court ordered, “The office is hereby directed to issue intimation to the circle police inspector of Kyathasandra police station along with (a) photostat copy of the complaint for report.” Reportedly, the complainant Ramesh Naik L, sought registration of FIR under Sections 153A, 504, 108 of the Indian Penal Code against Ms. Ranaut.
On work front, Kangana Ranaut is busy shooting her impending film ‘Thalaivi’, which is a biographical film based on the life of late politician and film actress, J. Jayalalithaa, who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The movie is directed by A. L. Vijay.
