‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ Sees MASSIVE TRP Ratings Drop Because Of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil’ Champs!

For the past many weeks, The Kapil Sharma Show has been the ruling the roost in the reality TV sphere, as far as impressions are concerned. Barring the first few weeks, the show has managed to find a position in Top 3, since the very inception. But this week was different. The show has slipped many positions down to No. 7. In fact, there is a recently-launched reality show that’s doing better than TKSS. We are talking about Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs which is the No. 1 reality show of the week (6.44 million impressions), beating TKSS that could only garner the impressions of 6.40 million. Last week, TKSS topped the game with 7.1 million impressions, according to the data released by BARC India.

Since the latest data pertains to the week 25 February-3 March, the decreased ratings could either be because of the lacklustre Govinda-Shakti Kapoor episode or it could be because of the excitement around the launch of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. In either case, next week’s data will give a better picture of which show stands where exactly. Meanwhile, one player that is not going anywhere is ‘Naagin 2′ (till the season end). The show has not even once slipped from its No. 1 position ever since its beginning. We have only one word for the show: wow! May the Naagin continue to spin her magic.  The Kapil Sharma Show that was at the 2nd place last week has dropped to 7th place with 2.9 TRP ratings. Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya which was at fourth place, has managed to get back to the third place with 3.0 TRP ratings.

The new entries to the TRP list are ZEE TV’s shows Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs and Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. While the former has managed to get 2.9 TRP ratings, Ek Tha Raja… has got 1.8 TRP ratings. May be these two shows’ addition have got ZEE TV back to the third slot!

Will these little champs be able to beat Kapil Sharma again next week? Only time will tell.
