The National Award winning actor, known for her power packed performances, Kangana is now shooting for her upcoming venture, Hansal Mehta’s Simran in Atlanta, United States
After gaining popularity with her roles in films like Queen and Tanu Weds Manu, Kangana has become choosy while nodding in approval for a project. This shows the actor has grown as a person and as an artist as well.
In the Hansal Mehta’s directorial, Simran, Kangana plays the role of Prafull Patel, a 30 year old divorcee. Currently, the divorce rates are on a rise and being a divorced woman involves a lot of emotional strides and Kangana taking up this role reflects how courageous she is. Portraying the role of a divorced woman is an unconventional role but it seems as if Kangana is all set to prove her mettle on screen once more.
Sources revealed, “Kangana is a known perfectionist and hence she is preparing intensively for her character. This is the first time when she will essay such a role and she wants to take no chances with it. For preparing for the role, Kangana is intensely preparing on her dialect and body language by spending long hours cutting off from the rest of the world just to get everything right.”
In the film, we’ll witness Kangana facing all the odds in her way being a divorced woman and yet doing everything possible to be happy in her life. Quite a challenging role!
