Alia Bhatt is currently enjoying the success of Raazi, which is doing phenomenal business at the box office. The movie is on road to emerge as a blockbuster. Alia has always impressed us with her astonishing performance in all the films she does. Now, we hear that the actress is all set to star in Bareilly Ki Barfi director Ashwini Iyer’s next. Finally, Alia has confirmed the news herself.
Alia said that official announcement will happen pretty soon. Talking about the same, she was quoted saying to a leading daily HT, “I am definitely going to do a film with Ashwiny because she is a fabulous director. The film is sort of confirmed, but I am not saying it myself, as there will be an official announcement soon.”
Alia is known for balancing between commercial and critical films. She received huge praise for her roles in Udta Punjab, Highway and Raazi. However, it seems she is looking to work on a light-hearted film next. Talking about the same, she further added, “They [Ashwiny and the film’s makers] have brought an extremely fun concept to me. I am very excited, as that’s going to be my breakaway film from all the serious ones [that I am doing]. Ab main ek lighthearted film karne waali hun.”
Coming back to work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. She will also star opposite Varun Dhawan in Kalank.
