Kabir Khan reacts to Lipstick under my Burkha Ban
The controversy regarding the film Lipstick Under My Burkha is heating up and more and more reactions from celebrities and directors are coming forth. The film is in the midst of controversy after the Censor Board of India for Films has denied release to the film. Kabir Khan has recently given his reaction to the film’s ban in India in which he stated that the ban is totally uncalled for and it depicts a biased state of mind of the board members. The reason stated behind the ban is that the film is totally female oriented and there are objectionable sex scenes and dialogues used in the film.
Kabir Khan clearly stated that the movie should be showcased as it is a matter of freedom of creativity. The film should be given it’s due release date may be with cuts but banning the entire film itself is outrageous. Kabir expressed his willingness to organize people against such unjustified actions by the Censor Board.
Meanwhile there is a great piece of news for the controversial film that will work for the film. Lipstick under my Burkha has been awarded as the most outstanding film in the Glasgow film festival few days back. The director of the film Alankrita Shrivastva expressed her elation on the occasion of the receiving the award and said it has come on the right time as the film has been denied release in India. Well.. all said, the movie has definitely got much publicity thanks to the controversy. The trailers of the film are hitting landmark views and likes.
