16th June, Mumbai: The Indian Academy Awards 2017, a Brainstorm Entertainment property, has been now slated for the last quarter of this year.
Indian Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit introduced the audience to the maiden edition of the Indian Academy Awards in Mumbai and the US respectively, also celebrating India’s very first Worldwide (Digital) Academy. The event was initially slated for July 8, 2017, but owing to an unforeseen concern regarding the venue, the organizers have decided to move it to end of this year.
From exchanging cultures to building bridges for tourism, engaging cinema lovers to creating a platform to identify potential talent for the Indian film industry, the IAA, is a real-time celebration of cinema lovers, by cinema lovers and for cinema lovers across the world.
What sets this property apart is the global voting, with one of the biggest consulting firms in the world on-board to authenticate the voting process and therefore, the results. This makes IAA a truly global, democratic award ceremony that will redefine the perception of awards across the world.
