She bagged ‘Agneepath’ when she was in 10th standard, preparing for her boards. She essayed the character of Siksha Chauhan in the film.
She is now 19 years old and soon she will be seen playing the lead role on television.
She hails from Bhopal and she is also a cousin of popular television actress Divyanka Tripathi who currently essaying the role of ‘Ishita’ in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’.
She played the lead in 2014’s Telugu film ‘Boy Meets Girl’, the Kannada film ‘Rangan Style’. In 2015 she acted in a Tamil movie called ‘Aavi Kumar’ .
She made her television debut in second season of ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’- ‘Tu Sooraj Mai Saanjh Piyaji’.
Many are not aware of the fact that Murder 2 is a debut movie of Kanika. From ‘Agneepath’ she got the recognition.
In an interview she revealed that she chose to be an actress to fulfill her parents dreams. She also went up on revealing that among 6000 contenders, she was the one who was chosen to essay the role of Sakshi in ‘Agneepath’.
