This week, two big Bollywood movies released on the celluloid. First is Arjun Kapoor starrer Half Girlfriend and Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium. At the latest, the first-day collections of both the movies are out now, where Half Girlfriend beats Hindi Medium in a big way.

Irrfan and Saba Qamar starring movie Hindi Medium has been welcomed by critics in India. The film was also being tax-free in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Released in 1126 screens, the film has collected 2.81 crores on the first day. The film was made on a budget of 22 crores and already recovered Rs 15 crores from satellite, digital, music and overseas rights.

On the other hand, Half Girlfriend received an audience occupancy of 25 to 30 percent on the first day in India. It got a screencount of 2500 in India and collected 10.27 crores on first day. This is a good boost for the movies in a days to come. With this collection, it is clear that the movie will cross 35 crores in the first weekend. That also means that it will going to enter in the covoted club of 100 crores.
