This German Actress Will Play Sonia Gandhi In The Accidental Prime Minister

The German actress Suzanne Bernert joins Anupam Kher in political thriller The Accidental Prime Minister. She will play the role of former Indian National Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Bernert has worked in several films and TV series in India in different languages. Married to actor Akhil Mishra, the actress speaks Indian languages like Marathi, Bengali and Hindi fluently including French, German and Spanish and many more.

Earlier, the 25-year-old actress has played Sonia Gandhi in a television series titled ‘Pradhanmantri’. She is known for her role in popular Colors TV series Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, where she received huge praise and appreciation from the audience as well as critics.

Coming back to The Accidental Prime Minister, the movie is directed by Vijay Gutte. It is based on a book by Sanjaya Baru on the life of former Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Veteran actor Anupam Kher will play the title role of Manmohan Singh.

The 63-year-old actor took to Twitter to share his first look from the movie.

His Tweet reads,

The Accidental Prime Minister is scheduled to release on 21st December 2018.
