A.R. Murugadoss is famous for his action movies. The director of Ghajini has casted Sonakshi Sinha as the lead ass kicker for his next movie Akira. This movie also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Amit Sadh, Konkona Sen Sharma and the exclusively Anurag Kashyap. The movie will hit the theatres on 2nd September. The tagline ‘No one will be forgiven’ is enough to gives goosebumps. Moreover the poster shows the silhouette of man aiming the gun at a girl at point blank range. All these are perfect recipe for creating excitement for the fans.
After quite a lot of anticipation, the trailer has been finally launched. So what is the trailer like?
Well, a lot can be inferred from the trailer itself. It starts with the court punishing Akira Sharma for three years under IPC 326-A. Later on, it is revealed that she had been punished for indulging into a fight. She is a resident of Jodhpur with her mother while her brother stays in Mumbai. Both she and her mother go to Mumbai so that she can carry on with her studies. No sooner she starts her career in her college than she gets bullied by few students. She apologizes to them in a sarcastic way which is in a manner speaking a threat to the bullies. She says ‘please forgive me because three years of my college life has already been wasted. Now if I beat you all, I will get into problem once again.’ As the trailer proceeds, she is seen to be a master martial artist.
Gradually she finds herself in the middle of the shit storm. A corrupt police officer is trying to pin a murder case on her. Another lady law enforcer was always suspicious of whatever was going on. As the trailer movie proceeds, Akira finds herself getting stuck in the problem to a greater extent. From the trailer, it is evident that the female police officer among the very few people who provides support to her. Akira even says that her family has left her side. From the trailer, it is evident that Akira fights against the police department being controlled by a corrupt police officer.
Guess the audience has to wait for 60 more days to witness the new kick ass avatar of Sonakshi Sinha. The trailer shows Sonakshi with incredible martial arts skills. Sonakshi Sinha plays the role of Akira- the main protagonist, Konkona Sen Sharma plays the role of honest police official while Anurag Kashyap plays the role of the corrupt police officer- the main antagonist of the movie. Mithun Chakraborty, Atul Kulkarni, and Amit Sadh play different roles in the movie.
