Earlier Saathiya has been made from the Tamil movie Alaipayuthey which went on to become a huge hit in the Bollywood. Ek Deewana Tha also was remade from Tamil movie Vinnaithaandi which bombed at the box office. (Jason Shah’s surprise exit)
