The concert which took place under the Global Citizen Initiative has flooded the internet with videos and photographs of the event. The event saw various international artists like Jay-Z, Demi Lovato, The Vamps, Coldplay, followed by our very own A R Rahman perform on the same stage. Several Bollywood celebrities also shared the stage. Chris Martin was in his best form and he totally surprised the audience as he started singing Channa Mereya! However, politicians are back with what they do the most, creating controversies. NCP spokesman Nawab Malik has alleged that lead singer of British the rock band 'Coldplay' "disrespected" the Indian flag during the band's concert in Mumbai. 80 thousand people cried and shouted as they got emotional to see Coldplay, lead by Chris Martin perform live for the first time in Mumbai. The band performed several memorable songs, including "Paradise", "Viva La Vida", "Yellow", "Fix You", for over an hour at the MMRDA grounds. Chris Martin did his absolute best to include Mumbai and India within the concert, surprising the crowd by breaking into Channa Mereya. The band ended the Global Citizen Festival India concert on a high note by singing "Vande Mataram" with music maestro A. R. Rahman while waving the national flag.
