‘Drishyam’ pits Ajay Devgn against Tabu in crime drama | Bollywood Details
The much-awaited trailer of Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam was unveiled today. The thriller-drama, directed by Nishikant Kamat, is a remake of a 2013 Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam film of the same name.
Devgn, as Vijay Salgaonkar, is a common man whose family gets embroiled in a murder mystery. Drishyam also stars Tabu and Shriya Saran in the lead roles.
The makers of the film used the promotional strategy of having fans unlock the trailer. Fans had to click on the trailer link directed to the Facebook page of the film a certain number of times before the trailer would be available to watch. Devgn as Salgaonkar battles several odds to protect his family. Slickly shot, the 3 minute long trailer pits Devgn’s character against that of Tabu who plays a police officer investigating the death of her own son.
