In an interview with Daily Bhaskar Daljeet speaks about the aggressive nature of Shaleen, problems she faced during her marital life and many more…
“After reading these interviews, Shaleen will surely try to take revenge, but now I am scared at all. I am very much sure that he and his family will be angry after reading my reaction and they might also be planning on how to take revenge, but as I said, I am not at all scared now. Till now, Shaleen has got bail three times, but this time, I am hoping to see Shaleen behind the bars and get justice for myself”, says Daljeet Kaur.
Marriage: No marriage is perfect. Everyone including my neighbors, my sister and my mother-in-law too has a problem in their marriages. Nobody has a perfect marriage and I too did not have it. I was trying to make my marriage work, but then I realized that it’s time to speak up the truth. Shaleen used to beat me up several times, but still I kept quiet because of my upbringing. My parents had taught me to give respect and I followed it.
Pregnancy: I never enjoyed my pregnancy period. I was all alone those days. Few of my friends and relatives were aware about Shaleen’s aggressive nature. They advised me to have a baby to save our marriage. I thought it will work; but it didn’t. Shaleen never took the responsibility of the baby. He was always busy. He neglected me and our son.
Physical Violence: Shaleen would not allow me to step out of the house; he used to threaten me if I did so. He assaulted me physically and that’s the reason, I filed for a divorce. Shaleen used to beat me in front of my in-laws. Surprisingly, they never supported me. They asked me to keep quiet claiming that he is a man and a woman should remain silent. The story of physical violence should never come out of the house.
No Money to survive: Now, I don’t have money to survive. I am ready to take any job for my son, Shaarav. Honestly, I don’t have money for the house rent and I don’t even know how I will pay for my son’s education. I am not at all ashamed in admitting that I am broke up.
Industry support: So far, I have got lots of support from the industry where some people have asked for my account number where they can deposit some money for my survival. But honestly, more than sympathy, I need work to earn. Also, I need prayers for my son.
