Yeah, when compared with Deepika (who started her career much later after PC) she is still a bit rough around the edges and lacks pedigree. But, she is a total rockstar when it comes to acting. It is freaking amazing the way she has grown as an artist. Pick out her any film in the recent times, her every role will stand out. You will not forget her Kashibai, Mary Kom, Meghana Mathur (Fashion) or Jhilmil (Barfi!) that easily. She is a powerhouse of talent. And talent is what has taken her ahead. This woman has done it all: singing, television and now Baywatch! Also, mark the way she has groomed herself. That cultivated husk in her voice, her cool-ass attitude and her opinions which are tailor made to match the ‘global sensibilities’. She is here to stay. For sure.
