Though she has had her string of flops, (Desi Boys, Lafangey Parindey, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, Break Ke Baad, among others) she has had it comparatively easy. Yes, she did battle a bad break up and depression but rose above the problems. Another factor which seemed to work in Dippy’s favour was her insistence on being a simple girl from an educated, cultured family. She manages to convince you that she is one of you, yet she has a detached and regal aura around her. Now, that’s what we call grace and poise. This very quality covers up her slightly mediocre acting skills. We love her. We can’t get over her and that’s why she continue to enthral the world audience for a long, long, long time.
