Indian cricket team enjoys a huge fan following. The players are also recognized and respected by many people. Just recently, Afghanistan played their first test match against India, which was a truly historic moment. The match shows the spirit of the game is over everything. India comfortably defeated Afghanistan by an innings and 262 runs. Indian batsman blasted Afghan bowlers to every corner and scored tons of runs. Opener Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay scored centuries putting India way ahead of Afghanistan.
However, everyone was looking at wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik’s reaction when Murali Vijay scored the century. After all, they have a history together.
To uninitiated, Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik played together for Tamil Nadu and were very good friends earlier. However, due to their personal lives, their friendship turned sour. Dinesh’s ex-wife is married to Murali Vijay, whereas Dinesh is also happily married to Indian squash player Dipika Pallikal.
After scoring the century, Murali Vijay raised his bat in the celebration. In the dugout, all the players including Dinesh Karthik gave him a standing ovation. This new gesture of Dinesh Karthik looks like he is looking for a fresh start rather than dwelling in the past.
