Deepika Becomes Highest Paid Bollywood Actress But Still Far Away From Male Counterparts

Deepika Padukone has raised eyebrows of many female actresses and Bollywood producers, when she demanded a whooping price money of 15 Crores for her next film. Well, no producer could say no to her after seeing her back-to-back successful hit in 'Piku', 'Tamasha' and 'Bajirao Mastani'. From last few years, female centric movie raking big money at the box-office, but still the pay disparity is the biggest problem in Bollywood. Deepika gets 15 crores and Salman Khan gets 60 crores for a movie. Now, you know that there is huge gap in terms of payment. The female actors are still getting minimum pay as compared to male actors. This is what lead to a big debate on pay disparity. Once Vidya Balan said, “Remuneration has changed but if you compare it with what the men get it is still very different. But I would say let's not compare it because just five per cent of these films are being made. I think we will get our due. We are slowly moving towards that.” Just like Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif said, “Indian cinema has come a long way. But one thing which has not changed is the remuneration for women. There is still a huge disparity. Let's see what happens with that.” During the starting phase of Indian Cinema, there was a time when Actresses use to rule the cinema. Their pay was more than the double as compared to male actors. Even in the 90’s Madhuri Dixit get good more, more than Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. She is one of the most experienced actresses and she do surprise us with her acting skills. Priyanka Chopra – 9 crores Priyanka Chopra is now all busy in Hollywood with ‘Quantico’ and ‘Baywatch’. She was last seen in Bollywood film ‘Bajirao Mastani’, which also star Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. She will surely raise her payment in her next film. Vidya Balan – 7 crores Vidya Balan is one of the most talented female actresses in Bollywood. She has really shown her acting prowess in movies like ‘Dirty Picture’, ‘Kahaani’ and ‘Ishqiya’. She charges 7 crore per movie which is feasible for producers. Katrina Kaif – 7 crores She has a number of films coming ahead in 2017. She doesn’t want to recall the moments of 2016 as most of the film saw a failure response at Box-Office. She is still in demand and charges 7 crores. Anushka Sharma – 6 crores Anushka Sharma is one of the talented lass out there in Bollywood who showed her acting prowess in films like ‘NH10’, ‘PK’ and ‘Sultan’. She charges 6 crores per movie. Sonakshi Sinha – 6 crores Sonakshi Sinha is the Dabangg girl of Bollywood and kick some butts if she get a chance! She worked nearly 3 films in a year and the last she appears in ‘Akira’. She charges 6 crores per movie which is a feasible amount for the producers. Shraddha Kapoor – 5 crores Shraddha Kapoor has surely hold a strong position in Bollywood with hit films like ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Ek Villain’, and ‘Haider’. She will next be seen in Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘Rock On 2’, where she has also crooned a song. She charges 5 crores per movie. Alia Bhatt – 3 crores She gets 3 crores per film, which is a decent amount as per the makers. She has a100 percent success rate when it comes to films, except ‘Shaandaar’. She will next be seen in ‘Dear Zindagi’ starring Shah Rukh Khan. Parineeti Chopra – 3 crores Parineeti Chopra has stormed into Bollywood with ‘Ishaqzaade’ in 2012. With few hits, her career was at the sinking side but now she has 4 films coming ahead in 2017. No doubt, she is a talented actress and we are waiting to see her performance on celluloid.
